7/08/07 We would l;ike to announce that Joseph Acuna who is currently playing with Rikki and the Bruiser Boys and has another solo project Infernal Legion will now be jamming with us. We tried out a few bass players and Joseph just seemed to fit perfectly so we look forward to jamming with him more. We are in the process of teaching him the songs and will be looking to try out singers and drummers shortly. So if you are interested in playing email me lee@absitmetal.com
Yes I know it has been a while since we have had a post, but there have been a lot of changes since the last post a month ago. Brandon and Leon have parted ways with Rick and I and the tour is obviously cancelled for us. We are getting a new bass player right now and will soon add either a vocalist or a new drummer. If that happens I would become the lead vocalist and play some guitar to help Rick with rhythms.
We are going to continue with our album and hope to have it availiable sometime in August. It will be called "Let it be far from the hearts of the faithful" and the Art for this is located on our Myspace background so check it out. www.myspace.com/absitmetal We also have some new banners to help get the word out and if you or someone you know in interested in playing with us email absit@absitmetal.com. Thanks again for all of the support!
Lee the drummer

3/22/07 I was unaware that only some people were able to view the website until Brandon and Megan told me last night. I checked into it today and it turns out two of my domain servers listed were supposed to be removed. Yeah thats right still trying to get this whole website thing figured out while in the mean time play shows and practice. Anyway we are in for a little break here until the 30th waiting to finish a few new songs for that show. Also with the help of Andrew from Heathen we will be putting out some shirts very shortly. He showed me how one of the shirts came out and it was sick. We still have stickers availiable at shows and soon enough online with a plethera of other things.
Take Care, Lee
3/20/07 Thanks to everyone who came out to support the show at The Crest theatre last Friday. It was not the greatest show for our equipment, but I think everyone enjopyed what they saw in any case. Leon was trying to turn the cabinet toward me since I could not hear Rick's guitar. Well he knocked it over and had to pick it up again.Later Brandon pushed Leon into his bass cabinet which caused it to shake and fall forward crashing to the ground. Leon was not very happy and dropped his bass breaking it. So nevertheless we played half of our set without a bass player and at some points without a vocalist. Brandon was having a hard time with pitting and doing vocals at the same time with the ruthless crowd. Second place is not a bad way to end the night especially with the way we played and the fact we went over our set. Congrats to Mynis for taking the first place spot and we will be at The Crest Theatre on March 30th with Purity. More details will be coming soon so stay tuned and thanks again for the support.
3/11/07 First off I would like to thank everyone who saw us play The Crossroads this past Friday night. It wound up only being us and then Six Ounce Gloves. The turnout was great and it was one of the best nights we have had in a while. On that note come out this Friday to the Crest Theatre as Project Independent is searching for the best metal band in the area to play at The Whiskey a Go Go for a chance to go on a 45 show tour. So please click the flyer and RSVP on our event page so we know you are coming and we will see you there!
Well I have moved my hosting over and now the site is always up. This is a far cry from where I was at even a week ago. So thanks to readyhosting for being awesome so far. This Friday is going to be rediculous so come out to the Crossroads and see Absit with Six Ounce Gloves and Toxic Sunset. Click the flyer below and RSVP on my event page!
Well since it seems that my hosting company sucks ass I will be moving the new site to a new place. Of course no one looking at this will ever notice, but for the fact that the site will always be up instead of having constant problems. The March 1st show this Thursday at The Lucky 13 got moved to the Babylon. I made the flyer for this show, was asked to change it and now it got moved. I am not making another one so if you remember come out this Thursday to The Babylon and have a drink or two. Saturday should be a lot of fun with a lot of food so do not miss it this Saturday March 3rd at The Belmont with 5 Finger Death Punch and all sorts of awesome local music. The singer for 5 Finger Death Punch is the former vocalist of Motorgrater so if that tells you all anything. I am kind of in a hurry with this update so sorry for the spelling errors. Now I got to fix the rest of the site. Oh well check out the flyer below and clik it to view our event page on Myspace so you can RSVP if you have not already.
We are two days away from the show at The Babylon on the 17th and had some info I wanted to spread scross to you. The show Sunday Night was awesom on "The Overnight Spotlight". Ashton was cool and we had a good time as always. Also a special thanks to Kristin who we used to advertise in our myspace banner. You can visit her myspace by clicking HERE! Also once again Heathen Apparel will be out with a merch booth selling some shwag so do not forget. They are also helping us to put out a second music video for "Eat Your Words". We want to pack the house so if you are a fan your presence is expected.
Hey everybody for all of you out there wondering when we are playing again come check us out on KRZR 103.7 this Sunday morning at 2 am. Or technically Saturday night we wil be on "The Overnight Spotlight" with Ashton talking about our new events coming up and what we are all about with our music. Thursday the 15th we will be at The Crossroads with HateFX so come out and see that one on a Thursday night. That Saturday on the 16th we will be at The Babylon Club with More Than Without and a guest. Heathen will be out recording us for the new music video for "Eat Your Words", So please let's pack the place and yes you will be on film possibly so be aware.
Woops! So yeah in case you may have noticed I goofed and lost the home page to this site. That will teach me a lesson in backing up your stuff on a regular basis. In any case I would like to thank the people that showed up to The Starlin on the 13th. We got an incredible response and even though it was with one guitar player some said it sounded better. Thanks for the the comments however we are still in search of a new guitar player so if you are intersted hit me or Rick up on our Myspace's or at lee@absitmetal.com or rick@absitmetal.com
February 2nd come out to The Crossroads on 3315 N. Cedar at 9pm and check us out with the new IQ Zero, Toxic Sunset and Fatum. Click the flyer to see the myspace event and RSVP!
